With small class sizes and a commitment to knowing each student as a unique person, we encourage each girl to value themselves and others as they respond positively to being challenged in their learning and growing as individuals.
Discover and Learn
Prep is the first year of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Moreton Bay College. The PYP is the international framework we use to deliver the Australian Curriculum. Girls benefit from a rich, global perspective to their learning. The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. During Prep, girls grow in confidence, independence and academic learning – reading, writing, spelling and numbers.

Grow and achieve
Girls from Prep to Year 5 are paired up with a buddy. Prep girls are paired with a girl from Year 3. As part of the buddy programme, the girls regularly enjoy time together to learn through reading, a numeracy activity, inquiry investigations or through play. This successful programme provides our younger girls with a mentor and assists older girls in developing their leadership skills.
